Johnson City Thunder is a youth travel baseball organization based out of Johnson City, Tennessee with players from all over the Tri-Cities, Elizabethton, Jonesborough, and the Greeneville area. The Thunder organization is 100% self-funded and has been fielding teams for the past 10 years with age divisions for this season in 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U and 14U. We are currently seeking sponsors to help offset the cost of our upcoming 2016 season. Our organization relies on players’ fees, fundraising, and these sponsorships to run our travel ball organization. Expenses include but are not limited to equipment, uniforms, practice facilities, tournament fees, organization memberships, and team insurance
The Johnson City Thunder teams are comprised of 10 to 12 athletes who will be competing in tournaments throughout Northeast Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Through participation in amateur youth sports, the coaches and parents will help shape the future of these young athletes by giving them the opportunity to develop self confidence, camaraderie as teammates, gain leadership abilities, improve their athletic skills, and represent their community. Our goal is to grow as a team and help build the foundation of developing players, playing competitive baseball, and having fun!
Johnson City Thunder is a member of the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) and the East Tennessee Baseball Players Association (BPA).
